Length and weight are separate limits. Pick on whichever one your gate breaks first. One thing to plan for on a long leaf: past three metres BFT recommends an electric lock. The extra length gives more leverage against the gearbox.
What is in the kit
The BFT Phobos AC A50 in Oman ships as a two-motor kit. It holds two motors, a RIGEL 6 control panel and a pair of photocells rated 20 metres. Also in the box: a flashing light with antenna, two remotes, a push button and two brackets. The label code P935097 00002 covers one operator, so quote the kit code if you order spares later.
Installing the BFT Phobos AC A50 in Oman
Brackets go on the pillar and the leaf first, and their position sets the opening angle. We run 230 V to the panel and wire both motors. Then we set the work times, the clutch and the slowdown. Photocells go across the opening and we pair the handsets.
Common questions
Is 230 volts a step down from 24 volts? No, just different. A 230 V ram is simpler and cheaper. A 24 V one adds finer force control and can run on a battery.
I already have a Phobos. Will this fit my brackets? If yours is a Phobos AC A, yes, directly. BFT now sells a B series, and moving to that needs a bracket adapter.
Where does the slowdown come from? The board, not the motor. RIGEL 6 decelerates at both ends of travel, so tell us which panel you have before you replace one.
Can one panel run both leaves? Yes. RIGEL 6 drives one or two 230 V operators and staggers the leaves so they do not clash.
