Left hand or right hand: check before you order
ATHOS rams are handed. BFT builds two versions of the same motor and they are not interchangeable.

Why the bigger ATHOS carries less
This confuses people, and the reason is simple once you see it.

Both use the same 280 W motor. A ram pushes near the hinge, so what limits it is turning force, not weight. Double the leaf length and the same motor holds roughly half the weight.
So read both numbers together. A 3 m leaf at 500 kg suits neither model. That one needs a heavier range from our BFT swing gate motors.

Do I need an electric lock as well?
Usually not. This operator is irreversible, so it holds the leaf shut on its own. Articulated arm motors are reversible and do need one.
What does a work time limit switch mean?
There are no switches at the ends of travel. The board is set by time instead, and slowdown runs before each stop.
Will it fit if my pillar is recessed?
Often yes. BFT designed the body to sit inside a niche. Where the hinge sits far back, an articulated arm operator works better.
How often can it run?
BFT rates it semi-intensive, which suits a villa or small compound. A busy public entrance wants an intensive-rated motor from our swing gate motors range.
