The BFT E5 BT A18 is a compact 24V swing gate operator with an articulated arm. It suits pedestrian gates up to 1.8 m wide and 100 kg. It fits on pillars as narrow as 8 cm. We stock the BFT E5 BT A18 in Muscat and install it on residential and commercial pedestrian gates across Oman.

What’s included

The box holds the operator, an articulated arm and the THALIA P control panel with receiver. It also includes two KLEIO remotes, a pair of photocells with covers, and a radio antenna. Our engineers set the bracket, fit the arm, and commission the motor and safety devices on site.

Common questions

Does the motor lock the gate shut on its own?
This is a reversible, non-locking motor. It can be pushed open by hand in an emergency without a key. For full security at closing, most installs pair it with a separate electric lock, which we can add to the kit.

What is Push & Go?
A THALIA P feature that lets you push the gate a short distance by hand to trigger a full automatic opening. Useful when a remote is not to be handed.

A12 or A18, which one do I need?
The A12 suits gates up to 1.2 m and 80 kg. This A18 suits gates up to 1.8 m and 100 kg. Measure the leaf before ordering.

Can this connect to other BFT devices on the same system?
Yes. The THALIA P control panel supports BFT’s U-Link protocol, so it can join a wider BFT access system later.
