The LIFE MAXI2 is the current two-button rolling code handset for LIFE gate and door automation. It runs on 433.92 MHz with 64-bit LIFE rolling code. Range is 120 to 200 m on a LIFE receiver. We stock the LIFE MAXI2 remote Oman handsets in Muscat and pair them for you.
Will it work with your motor?
It pairs with LIFE receivers, not with other brands. These LIFE ranges are covered:
- Sliding gates — Acer and Deus
- Swing gates — Optimo, Armor, Sinuo, Ergo
- Sectional doors — Probo R, Probo XL, Plus, Vis, Tenax
A BFT, Nice or Came motor needs its own brand of handset. A LIFE receiver on 868 MHz will not pair either. Those sit in our remote controls section.
Which remotes the LIFE MAXI2 replaces
Read this part before you order. The MAXI2 has two buttons, and some of the handsets it supersedes had four.
| Old handset | Buttons | Replace with |
|---|---|---|
| FIDO2, DREAM, STAR2, EVER2, VIP2R | 2 | MAXI2 |
| FIDO4, STAR4, VIP4, VIP4R | 4 | MAXI4 |
Swapping a four-button handset for a two-button one loses two channels. If yours only ever opened the gate, the MAXI2 is fine. If it also ran a garage door or a light, ask us for the MAXI4. We keep both.

Common questions about the LIFE MAXI2 remote Oman
Can I add it myself?
Usually yes. Most LIFE receivers copy the code from a handset that already works, so no cover has to come off. Bring both to the shop and we will do it.
What if none of my old remotes still work?
Then the code is entered at the receiver instead. That means reaching the control board inside the motor, which is a job for our engineers.
Is it safe to leave in the car?
Not on the dashboard. LIFE rates it to 55 degrees. A parked car in Muscat passes that in summer, and heat shortens battery life.
Does rolling code mean nobody can copy it?
The code changes every press, so a recorded signal will not open the gate twice. Keep the handset itself safe, because whoever holds it has your gate.
