Overview

BFT MITTO B RCB is a family of rolling code handsets, not a single product. This page helps you work out which one you already own and what replaces it. We stock the BFT MITTO B RCB in Oman and pair handsets at our counter in Al Khuwair.

Identify the handset you own

Three checks, in order.

CheckWhat to look forWhat it tells you
Count the buttonsTwo or fourGives you the channel count
Open the back12 V 23A cell means B RCB, a CR2032 coin cell means Mitto CoolGives you the generation
Read the codePrinted inside the case, starts with DGives you the exact model

Most people stop after the first two checks and that is usually enough.

We hold both generations of the BFT MITTO B RCB in Oman, so you can stay on what you have.

Do you need to upgrade

No. A B RCB handset still works on every gate it worked on before, and we still stock them. The reason to move to a Mitto Cool is the battery. A CR2032 coin cell sits in every supermarket, and a 12 volt 23A cell does not.

Buying a BFT MITTO B RCB in Oman

If you have a working handset, we copy it in a minute and you keep both. If you have none left, we pair the new one at the receiver, which means going to the gate. Either way, bring the old handset if you still have it.

Common questions

The code has rubbed off. Can you still identify it? Usually. Button count and battery type narrow it to one or two models, and the housing shape settles the rest.

Can I mix old and new handsets on one gate? Yes. A receiver stores codes, not models, so a B RCB and a Mitto Cool can sit in the same memory.

Is a copied handset as secure as one paired at the receiver? Yes. Copying transfers the rolling code itself, so the new handset behaves exactly like the original.

Which should I buy starting from scratch? A Mitto Cool. It is the current model, the battery is easier to find, and it clones the same way.
