LIFE VISIO Safety Photocell Sensors in Oman
The LIFE VISIO is a genuine pair of infrared safety photocells for gates, barriers and garage doors. One unit sends a beam to the other across the opening. Anything blocking that beam tells the control unit to stop or reverse. We stock the LIFE VISIO in Muscat and fit it alongside the gate motors and barriers we install across Oman.

Why genuine LIFE
The pair has a sensing range of up to 20 metres and an IP54 housing for outdoor mounting. The receiver switches a relay with both NO and NC contacts. That means it wires into almost any gate or barrier control unit, not just LIFE’s own. LIFE makes its own plastic housings in-house at its Treviso factory in Italy, rather than buying in generic cases. That is why genuine LIFE photocells tend to outlast unbranded copies outdoors.
Installation
Our engineers mount the transmitter and receiver facing each other at the same height. They run the cable back to the control unit and set the relay so the gate stops cleanly when the beam breaks.
Common questions
Does this run on AC or DC power?
Aurex lists it as 12V/24V DC. Some distributors sell the same photocell as 12V AC or 24V DC. Confirm which your control unit supplies before wiring, or ask us and we will check against your motor.
Can I buy just one photocell if only one side has failed?
No. The transmitter and receiver are sold and fitted as a matched, synchronised pair. Replacing only one side leaves the electronics out of sync.
Will these work with a gate motor or barrier that isn’t LIFE brand?
Yes. The relay output uses standard NO and NC contacts, the wiring most control units expect. They pair fine with BFT, Came, Nice and other brands we install.
