What U-Security adds
U-Security is BFT’s current encryption layer. It is the reason to buy the genuine part rather than a cheap copy.
Every code is masked, which stops third-party remotes cloning it. Pairing is done by scanning a QR code on the remote itself with BFT’s app. That replaces holding a button down on the receiver. It also carries Er-Ready, so a working handset can teach a new one directly, with no receiver access needed. That means a lost remote does not force an engineer visit just to add its replacement.

Will it work on any BFT gate?
Any BFT receiver on 433.92 MHz rolling code, which covers the range we install. Older BFT receivers on a different frequency will not pair.
What does the QR code do?
It lets the app add the remote to a receiver without opening the motor. We can also pair it the traditional way at the counter.
Can I use one remote for two gates?
Yes. Pair different buttons to different receivers, or use combinations for up to eight separate outputs.
Does colour affect anything?
No. BFT sells this remote in several colours; ours is blue. Function is identical across all of them.
