Why the 24 volt version matters here
BFT builds this gate in two forms. The 230 V AC model is the budget route. The 24 V BT model adds three things a heavy Omani gate benefits from.
- D-Track reads tiny changes in force and adjusts thrust, so heat and dust do not trigger false obstacle stops
- Slowdown at both ends, which the AC model does not have
- Battery capability — BFT’s BAT2 pack keeps the gate working through a power cut

Two things to check before ordering
First, the letter after the model. BFT sells an A600 V as well, and it is not the same motor.

The V runs faster and carries 40 per cent less. Buy on weight, not on speed.
Second, the rack. BFT’s own kit ships five metres of nylon rack with a steel core. Plain plastic rack is rated to 600 kg, which is this motor’s ceiling with nothing spare. Tell us your leaf length and we will price the right rack.

Will the gate open in a power cut?
Only with the battery pack fitted. The motor runs at 24 V, so BFT offers one. Without it, use the release lever and its personal key.
My gate is lighter. Do I need this one?
A 400 kg leaf suits the Deimos BT A400. Heavier gates take the Deimos AC A800.
How much rack will I need?
Rack runs the full length of the leaf, not the opening. Measure the gate itself and add a little. Four metres suits a short gate only.
Is it strong enough for a compound entrance?
