What’s included

The box holds the motor with an inbuilt control unit, a pair of outdoor photocells and a blinker light. It also includes two Mitto2 remotes, a push button, four one metre nylon racks and a fixing plate. Our engineers set the base plate, fit the rack, and commission the motor and safety devices on site.

Common questions

Can this run on battery backup during a power cut?
Yes. BFT offers an optional battery pack that fits inside the motor casing itself. The gate keeps working through short outages without extra boxes to mount.

What is pedestrian opening?
A HAMAL control unit setting that opens the gate partway, just enough for foot traffic. It uses a separate remote button rather than opening the full width every time.

Why does this share the DEIMOS name with your DEIMOS AC A600, but different technology?
BFT names its DEIMOS range by capacity rather than platform. This BT 400 uses the same HAMAL control unit and D-Track system as the Ares range. The AC A600 runs an older SHYRA control unit with a simpler mechanical clutch instead.

How does this compare to the BFT ARES BT A1000?
Both share the same HAMAL control unit and D-Track torque management. Choose the DEIMOS BT A400 for lighter residential gates, and Ares once the leaf gets heavier.
