This detail catches people out. BFT rates its racks by material, and the figures differ.

The kit ships with nylon rack. On a gate over 600 kg you need the 30 x 12 mm steel rack. Ask us and we will price it with the motor.

Four metres of rack suits a short gate. Longer leaves need extra lengths, which we supply. Mains cabling and the base are quoted separately.
Installation
Our engineers cast or bolt the base plate, then set the motor level. The rack is fixed along the leaf and meshed to the pinion.
We wire the board, set the limits, and pair both remotes. We test the D-Track obstacle response before handover. We cover Muscat and the rest of Oman.
Common questions about the BFT Ares BT A1000 Oman kit
How do I know if I have the Ares BT or the Ares Ultra?
Look at the limit switch. The Ares BT uses electromechanical switches and a HAMAL board. The Ultra uses magnetic switches and a MERAK board with a display.
Will it cope with dust and heat here?
It is rated for intensive use up to 55 degrees. On very dusty sites we suggest the Ares Ultra, which seals better.
Can I fit it to a cantilever gate?
Yes, but derate it. Cantilever gates load a motor harder than track gates. Plan on roughly half the rated weight.
My gate is lighter than 1,000 kg. Do I need this one?
Probably not. A 400 kg leaf suits the Deimos BT A400. A 600 kg leaf suits the Deimos AC A600. The full ladder sits in our BFT sliding gate motors section.
