Check your rack before you order
BFT rates its racks by material, and the figures are not the same. This catches people out on 800 kg gates.

The kit ships with nylon rack. Above 600 kg you need the 30 x 8 mm steel rack instead. Four metres also falls short on a long gate, so ask us for the length you need.

Installation
Our engineers set the base plate square to the gate, then bolt the motor down level. The rack is fixed along the leaf and meshed to the pinion.
We wire the board, set the mechanical limit brackets, and pair both remotes. The clutch is adjusted so the gate reverses on an obstacle, then tested before handover.
Common questions about the BFT Deimos AC A800 Oman kit
Does the gate slow down before it stops?
No. BFT lists no slowdown on this model, so the gate stops at full speed. On heavy or public gates we usually suggest a 24 V motor instead.
What does semi-intensive mean in practice?
It suits a household or small compound, not a busy commercial entrance. A gate cycling all day needs an intensive-rated motor.
How long can my gate be?
Up to 12 metres. Remember the rack runs the whole length of the leaf, so a 9 m gate needs 9 m of rack.
My gate is lighter than 800 kg. Do I need this one?
Probably not. A 400 kg leaf suits the Deimos BT A400. Heavier gates take the Ares BT A1000. The full ladder sits in our BFT sliding gate motors range.
