The infrared head adjusts 90 degrees left and right, 180 degrees in total. This means the pair still lines up even when the mounting posts sit at an angle to each other. Power supply accepts 12-33V AC or 15-35V DC. That wide range wires into almost any BFT control board with a test cycle.
Common questions
Is this a new or older BFT photocell?
COMPACTA A20-180 is BFT’s current generation, replacing the older DESME model. The two are not interchangeable parts, so replace both units of a pair together if you are matching an existing DESME setup.
Why would I need 180 degrees of adjustment?
Most photocells only tilt a little. A full 180 degrees lets you mount the pair on posts that are not perfectly aligned. It also helps when a straight-on view is not possible.
Why does the wide voltage range matter?
Accepting 12-33V AC or 15-35V DC means this pair wires directly into almost any BFT control board. No separate power adapter is needed, which simplifies the install on mixed or older systems.
