The LIFE SUPRA MB 230V is an Italian-made automatic boom barrier for booms up to 4 metres, built to run directly off 230V mains without a separate low-voltage transformer. We stock it in Muscat and install it across Oman for compound entrances, office car parks and commercial sites.

At 40% duty cycle, this is a residential and light-commercial barrier rather than a continuous-traffic unit. If you’re fitting a busy site entrance with frequent daily openings, ask us about the LIFE SUPRA SU4 24 DL instead.

Not included: a warning light and vehicle loop detector aren’t part of this kit — we quote both separately if your site needs them.
Installation
Our engineers mount the barrier on a level, anchored base, connect the 230V mains supply, and set the mechanical limit stops for the boom’s open and close positions. We pair the two supplied remotes, position the photocell pair across the entrance, and test the encoder’s obstacle-reversal response before handover.
Common Questions
Do I need a transformer for this barrier?
No. The 230V version runs directly off mains power. If your site only has a low-voltage supply run to the gate post, ask us about the LIFE SUPRA MB 24V instead.
What’s the difference between the 230V and 24V versions?
Both take a 4 metre boom and share the same body. The 230V version wires straight to mains; the 24V version runs its motor from a low-voltage DC supply from the control unit. Tell us your mains setup at the gate post and we’ll confirm which one fits.
What happens if the power cuts out?
The barrier has a manual release so the boom can be lifted by hand during a power cut, then re-engaged once power’s back.
Are the photocells and remotes included, or extra?
