JM3 or JM4
Beninca builds this head in two strengths and we stock both.
| Model | Pull | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| JM3 ESA | 600 N | Lighter doors |
| JM4 ESA | 1200 N | Double the pull |
The two are the same size and fit the same rails. Pick on the door, not on the budget, because an underpowered head works hardest and fails first.
What is in the kit
The Beninca JM4 ESA in Oman arrives as a complete set. That means the motor, a 4 metre rail, two remotes, a push button and a pair of photocells. That is worth knowing, because several ceiling openers sell the head and the rail as separate lines. Batteries are the exception. Beninca supplies those as a separate kit, so ask if you want the door to work in a power cut.
Fitting the Beninca JM4 ESA in Oman
The rail bolts to the lintel and hangs from the ceiling. We connect the arm to the door plate with the quick hooking system, then let the encoder learn the travel. Photocells go on the frame and the remotes pair last.
Common questions
Is the rail really included? Yes, a 4 metre rail comes in the box. Measure your door height first and tell us, because a taller door needs a longer track.
Will it work in a power cut? Only with the battery kit. Beninca sells it separately as a charge card and two 12 volt cells that mount on the motor.
How do I work out my door area? Multiply the width by the height in metres. A 4 by 2.5 metre door is 10 square metres, well inside the limit.
What does the encoder do? It counts the motor turns, so the opener knows exactly where the door is. It reverses cleanly if something is in the way.
