Where it sits in the range

All four BULL motors share the same pinion, so the same rack fits any of them.

Sizing on weight alone is the common mistake. A long light gate carries more rolling resistance than a short heavy one, so tell us the length as well.

What arrives with it

The Beninca BULL8M in Oman ships as a complete kit. It holds two handsets, a pair of outdoor photocells and a blinker light. A push button and four metres of nylon rack come with it. The control unit and the receiver are already inside the motor, so there is no separate panel to wire.

Nylon rack suits a gate at this weight. On the heavier BULL20M we would fit galvanised steel instead, and the same pinion takes either.

Installing the Beninca BULL8M in Oman

The base plate goes down first and it has to sit level and square to the track. We bolt the motor, set the rack height against the pinion, then let the encoder learn the run. Photocells go across the opening and handsets pair last.

Common questions

What does the published kit weight cover? Beninca lists the motor at 13.6 kg and the kit at 14.5 kg. That gap is too small to include four metres of rack, so ask us what is physically in the box.

Grease or oil? This one runs on grease. Beninca also builds an oil lubricated version for heavier duty, which we can order.

How do I know what my gate weighs? Measure it and photograph it. A solid steel leaf runs far heavier than an open picket of the same size. We would rather size it than guess.

Is weight the only limit? No. Length matters too, because a longer gate needs more rack and more track in good condition.
