What else you need
The BFT ELI BT A40 in Oman ships as the motor on its own. That motor alone will not open a gate. You also need a foundation box with levers, a manual release, and a control panel. The box is concrete-set before the gate is hung, so it has to be ordered first. We also stock the ELI AC A40, the same idea on a 230 volt supply. Installing the BFT ELI BT A40 in Oman
We set the box level under each hinge and cast it in. The motor drops in afterwards and the levers connect to the leaf. Then we run the cable, set the encoder travel and the slowdown. An accessory takes the opening to 180 degrees if the leaf must fold flat.
Common questions
What else do I need to order? A foundation box with levers, a release mechanism and a panel. None of the three comes with the motor.
Can I fit this where an old ELI already sits? Usually yes. It is built to drop into an existing ELI 250 box, which saves breaking up the concrete.
Why is an electric lock compulsory past 2.5 metres? The motor turns at the hinge, so a long leaf has plenty of leverage against it. The lock holds the far edge.
Will it survive standing water? IP67 means dust tight and sealed against short immersion. Drain the chamber anyway, because sitting in water is not the same as a brief flood.
