The Athos AC A25 carries more weight and costs less. The Kustos earns its price on duty rating, 24 V control and the closed screw. Choose the Igea BT when the pillar is too wide for a ram.
What is in the kit
The BFT Kustos BT A25 in Oman ships as a two-motor kit. It contains two motors, a THALIA panel and a pair of photocells. Also in the box: a flashing light, two remotes, a push button and two brackets. The label code P935099 00002 covers one operator. BFT’s own two-motor kit code is R935307, so quote that one when you order spares.
Installing the BFT Kustos BT A25 in Oman
Rear and leaf brackets go on first, and their position sets the opening angle. We run 230 V to the panel and wire both motors, then set the magnetic limit switches and the slowdown. Photocells go across the opening. We test D-Track on both leaves before handover.
Common questions
Why does the cheaper Athos carry more weight? It is a 230 V ram built for lighter traffic. The Kustos runs at 24 V on an intensive duty rating, so it suits a gate running all day.
What does the covered screw actually protect? The thread. On an open ram, blown sand sticks to the grease and grinds the screw. A closed tube keeps it out.
My leaf is 3 metres. Will this one do it? No. Two and a half metres is the limit. For a longer leaf, look at the Phobos BT B40.
Which spare remote fits this kit? A two-channel handset replaces the Mitto2. If yours has four buttons, you need the four-channel version.
