What is included
The BFT Moovi 30 barrier in Oman ships as a kit, not a bare head. It includes the barrier, a 3 m AQ3 boom and two remotes. Also in the box: a pair of photocells, a blinker light, a push button and a fixing bracket. Worth knowing: BFT sells this head on its own. A bare head arrives with no boom and no mounting kit, so check what a quote covers.
Installing the BFT Moovi 30 barrier in Oman
The cabinet bolts to a level concrete base, so the ground work comes first. We run the mains feed, fit the boom and set its balance and limit positions. Photocells go across the lane. The remotes pair to the receiver in the head. We test the sensitive edge before handover.
Common questions
Is 3 metres enough for my entrance? Measure the gap a car drives through, not the width of the plot. Three metres covers most villa and compound entrances. For a wider lane, look at the Moovi 60.
Why does it take 4 seconds? Mall barriers are faster, built for constant traffic. BFT makes a rapid version, the Moovi 30S, which opens in 1.5 seconds. Tell us the traffic volume and we will quote accordingly.
Do I need a loop detector as well? Only if you want the boom to close by itself once the car is clear. Car parks usually fit one. A villa entrance usually does not.
What happens in a power cut? The boom stays locked mechanically. A personal key releases the gearbox so you can lift the boom by hand. Lock it again when power returns.
