This is the boom only. The AQ3 is the three-metre aluminium arm that lifts and lowers. It does not include the barrier cabinet, the motor or the control board. If your barrier is missing or you need a whole one, start at our parking gate barriers instead.

BFT names its barriers after the widest opening they handle. Read the number on your cabinet.

A boom must never be longer than the barrier is rated for. The spring inside is matched to the arm, and an over-length boom will not balance. Tell us the model on your cabinet and we will confirm before you order.

Common questions about the BFT AQ3 boom Oman
Does this come with the motor?
No. It is the arm on its own. A complete barrier includes a cabinet, motor and board. If that is what you need, look at the LIFE SUPRA MB or the BFT range.
My boom snapped when a car drove into it
That is the arm doing its job. A boom is meant to break before the mechanism does. Replacing it is far cheaper than replacing a gearbox.
Can I cut it shorter for a narrow entrance?
Yes, and it is common. The barrier then needs rebalancing, because shortening the arm changes the spring tension. Our engineers do that on site.
Is a rectangular boom better than a round one?
For most entrances, yes. Rectangular resists twisting in wind and takes cover profiles and skirts. Round booms suit lighter duty.
