What’s included
The box holds two motors and one ALENA SW2 control board. It also includes a pair of self-aligning photocells and a flashing light with an antenna. Two remote controls, a push button and two fixing brackets complete the kit for a full double-leaf gate. Our engineers set the brackets, fit both motors, and commission the control unit and safety devices on site.
Common questions
What does AL mean, and which side do I need?
AL means the motor mounts on the left leaf as you face the gate from outside. BFT also sells an AR version with the motor on the right. Check which side suits your posts before ordering, or send us a photo of your gate.
Why a triangle key instead of a personal key or cord release?
A triangle key is a simple, standard shape used across many BFT swing gate motors. It is cheap to duplicate and less easily picked than a flat key blank.
How does this compare to the BFT KUSTOS BT A40?
Both handle similar weights, but they are different platforms. The KUSTOS uses a 24V THALIA control system with a covered worm screw. This ATHOS runs on 230V with a simpler ALENA SW2 panel, a lower-cost option for the same capacity.
