This is the barrier head only. BFT sells the boom separately, and it is not a small accessory. The GIOTTO 30 BT clears an opening up to 3 m in 4 seconds. It runs the MERAK BG control unit built into the cabinet. We supply and fit the BFT GIOTTO 30 barrier Oman kit across the Sultanate. We carry the boom this barrier needs in our own catalogue too.

GIOTTO 30 uses the same rectangular boom as our MOOVI range. You do not need to source it elsewhere.

BFT’s own distributor listing for this exact part gives a maximum ambient of 50 degrees, not 55. Fifty is the figure to plan around in Muscat. A cabinet in direct sun runs hotter than the surrounding air.

Can I buy the head now and the boom later?
Yes, but the barrier will not operate until both are fitted. Most customers order them together so we install once.
Does GIOTTO 30 take a round boom instead?
BFT offers a round profile too, mounted with a different OMEGA bracket. Rectangular is the common choice and it is what we stock.
How wide can this barrier go?
Three metres is the limit for this model. Wider openings take the GIOTTO 60, which runs to about six metres with a two-piece boom.
What does U-Link give me here?
It lets several BFT barriers on one site be managed from a single point. On a single entrance you will not need it.
