A LIFE gate remote has to match the receiver inside your motor, not just the gate. LIFE runs 433.92 MHz rolling code, which changes the transmission every press. We keep LIFE gate remote Oman stock in Muscat and pair the handset to your motor before you leave.
Find the model on your old handset first
LIFE prints the model on the back of the case or inside the battery cover. That one word decides which handset you need.
| What your old handset says | Buttons | What to order |
|---|---|---|
| FIDO2, DREAM, STAR2, EVER2, VIP2R, BRAVO2 | 2 | MAXI2 |
| FIDO4, STAR4, VIP4, VIP4R, BRAVO4 | 4 | MAXI4 |
| Nothing readable | — | Send us a photo |
Lost every handset? Then the code is set at the receiver instead, and that means opening the motor. Our engineers do that on site.
Genuine or compatible
Both work. They are not the same thing, and the difference is worth knowing before you buy.
A genuine LIFE handset is made by LIFE and carries a model number. A compatible handset is built by another manufacturer to speak LIFE rolling code. It pairs the same way and costs less.
One warning. The cheap cloning key fobs sold online copy fixed-code remotes only. They cannot copy rolling code, so they will not open a LIFE gate however many times you press them.
What a LIFE gate remote Oman handset works with
Any LIFE motor with a 433.92 MHz receiver. That covers the sliding, swing and sectional ranges we fit.
- Sliding gates — Acer and Deus
- Swing gates — Optimo, Armor, Sinuo, Ergo
- Sectional doors — Probo, Plus, Vis, Tenax
A BFT, Nice or Came motor needs its own brand. Those sit in our remote controls section. Every LIFE handset we hold is in LIFE remote controls.
Common questions about a LIFE gate remote Oman
Where is the model number printed?
Look at the back of the case, then under the battery cover. It is a short word such as FIDO2 or MAXI2, not the long number on the sticker.
Can you supply one if I only know my motor?
Yes. Tell us the motor model and we will match the handset. A photo of the control board also works.
How many handsets can one gate have?
LIFE receivers hold hundreds of codes, so adding a second or third is normal. Bring the working handset and we copy from it.
Mine stopped working. Is it the handset or the gate?
Try a second handset. If that one opens the gate, the fault is the first handset. If neither works, the receiver needs checking.
