Description

What is in this catalogue

Five hundred and twenty-four products sit across seventeen categories, which is more than anyone wants to read through. Almost every enquiry we take is one of three situations, and each one lives in a different part of the shop.

Your situationWhere to lookProducts
A gate or door that has never been automatedSliding gate motors, swing gate motors, garage door openers, rolling shutter motors266

The third row surprises people. Roughly a third of this catalogue is parts rather than machines, because a motor is usually the last thing on an installation to fail.

Gate automation spare parts in Oman

What actually fails is rarely the motor. It is the photocell that has spent three summers filling with dust, the control board that sat in an unshaded metal box through August, or a rack worn thin enough to start skipping teeth.

We hold control boards for BFT, Came, DEA, FAAC, Life, Beninca and Somfy; photocells for nineteen brands; racks and spare parts for five; loop detectors, flashing lights and seventy-six remote handsets and receivers — including for brands nobody imports into the Sultanate any more.

If the company that fitted your gate has closed, or the brand has left the market, the system does not have to be replaced. Send a photograph of the control box and the label on the motor head, and we will tell you whether the part still exists before you spend anything.

Why there are twenty-eight brands here

Depth exists to serve installations we did not fit ourselves. If a compound already runs on Came, a Came board and a Came remote save rewiring and reprogramming, and that is worth far more than a marginally better motor from another maker.

The larger ranges are BFT at seventy-four products, Came at sixty and FAAC Oman at forty-three, followed by Nice, Marantec, SOMMER, Beninca and Life. Beyond those sit specialists most suppliers here do not carry at all: Bea pedestrian door sensors, Ditec, Casit, Aprimatic, Bame and ACM shutter motors.

Heat, dust and duty cycle

Most of this equipment is engineered for European conditions, and two things here shorten its life in ways the manuals do not describe.

The first is heat. A control box in direct afternoon sun runs well above ambient, and every operator on the market derates as it warms, so a motor sized exactly right on paper is undersized by July. On exposed sites we specify a class up and shade the housing where the layout allows.

The second is duty cycle, which is the number nobody checks. A villa gate opening six times a day and a compound gate cycling two hundred times need genuinely different machines, and a residential-duty motor on a commercial entrance will fail inside two years however good the brand is.

Installation, service and maintenance

We survey before quoting, price the hardware and the labour separately so you can see what each costs, then install, set the limits and forces, and hand over a working system. Every job includes safety photocells and a manual release.

Automatic door maintenance in Oman is the part most suppliers treat as optional, and it is the part that decides whether an installation reaches its tenth year — a photocell lens wiped every few months costs nothing, and a burnt control board costs a great deal. As an automatic gate company in Muscat working across the Sultanate, we keep boards, remotes and sensors in stock locally, so a fault means days rather than weeks.

Door automation is one of six systems we cover. An entrance can be specified alongside intercom, CCTV, fire alarm, home automation and ELV work rather than bolted on afterwards.

Common questions

Can the gate I already have be automated?
Usually. What matters is whether it moves freely by hand. If it drags, binds or has dropped on its hinges, a motor will magnify that rather than hide it, so the gate is corrected first — which is often cheaper than people expect.

My motor is a brand you do not list. Can you still help?
Often, because boards, photocells and remotes are far more interchangeable than motors are. A photograph of the control box is usually enough for us to say.

How do I know which motor size I need?
Three figures: the weight of the gate, its width, and how many times a day it opens. Send those and we will shortlist two or three rather than hand you five hundred.

Do you service systems you did not install?
Yes. Much of our maintenance work is on equipment fitted by somebody else, which is the reason we carry spares for brands we no longer sell.
