The BFT ICARO SMART A2000 is a 230V sliding gate motor built for gates up to 2000 kg. It runs on a single-phase 230V supply. BFT rates it for very intensive use — the duty class given to gates that run all day without rest. What’s included

The box holds the motor, a pair of self-aligning photocells and a flashing light with a built-in antenna. It also includes two MITTO four-channel remotes, a push button, four one metre nylon racks and a fixing plate. Our engineers set the base plate, fit the rack, and commission the control unit and safety devices on site.

Common questions

Is 2000 kg the weight of the gate leaf itself?
Yes. It is the maximum weight of the single moving gate panel, not the combined weight of a pair of gates. Measure the leaf on its own before ordering.

Does it need three-phase power, or does normal mains work?
It runs on a standard single-phase 230V supply. Most commercial buildings in Oman already have this at the gate.

What does very intensive use actually mean?
BFT rates this motor for continuous daily cycling, unlike lighter residential motors that need rest between openings. That is why it suits factory gates and busy loading entrances.

How does this compare to the smaller BFT motors you stock?
