The NICE EPMB in Oman is a genuine pair of BlueBUS safety photocells for automatic gates.

They stop a closing gate when anything breaks the infrared beam between the two units.

Two wires connect them to the control board, with no polarity to match.

Installation Notes

An anti-glare circuit stops direct sunlight from confusing the receiver.

Aim the pair straight at each other, within about 5 degrees of the beam line.

Automatic synchronisation keeps two pairs on one gate from interfering with each other.

Fit and Compatibility

The EPMB works only on Nice control boards that use BlueBUS.

It fits the NICE ROBUS 400 kg and NICE ROBUS 600 kg motors.

It also suits the Robus 1000 kg and the Run 1500, 1800 and 2500 kg ranges.

Common Questions About the NICE EPMB

Will it work with any gate motor?

Only with Nice control boards that use BlueBUS. It will not work on a conventional board.

Do I need to match the wire polarity?

No. BlueBUS wiring has no polarity, so the two wires can go either way round.

How many pairs can one gate use?

Up to 7 pairs on one BlueBUS network, all synchronised automatically.

What is the difference between the EPM and the EPMB?

The EPM is the conventional version, with a separate 24 V supply. The EPMB is the BlueBUS version, with two-wire connection.
